The one-acre walled garden at Allanton is gradually being reinstated as a working productive garden. Ideas on how to utilise the garden and grounds to become an integral part of the message ‘May Peace Prevail On Earth’ have gradually been forming.
At present we have a large vegetable plot, fruit bushes and trees, and abundances of flowers, bees and butterflies.

We obtained a grant from Scottish Natural Heritage Fund in July 2008 to build a wildlife pond. Already it is attracting creatures large and small.

A section of the garden is dedicated for the ‘Wonder of Life’ children’s programme. Here children will be inspired to plant and work their own gardens.
The Children’s Woodland of 1200 native trees was planted in 2002.
The ‘Wonder of Life’ garden project is constantly being developed. For further information please contact us.
